A melting pot for different types of readers while also functioning as a writers’ space.

The Amaneki Library is not intended to be a general social space. Instead, members are encouraged to treat this server as a secondary online community for when they are interested in discussing literature-related topics.

What the server offers

  • The Library: Amaneki Library offers designated channels for the bookish to share their favorite titles, discuss literature, and share quotes from books they have read.
  • The Workshop: Forum channels like #writing-advice and #my-corner act as spaces for members who want to share or improve their craft, offering resources and guidance specifically for writing. Newbies are welcome!
  • Amaneki Events: Once enough members have gathered, special reading events like “Book of the Month” will be hosted, along with events such as Book Talks and Writing Challenges.

Guest Rules

To maintain the quiet atmosphere of the space, we ask that you observe four simple guidelines:

  1. Let conversations breathe. Real-life libraries demand their members to be quiet while on the premises. However, here in Amaneki, casual conversations are encouraged! All we ask is that you keep topics like gaming to a minimum.
  2. Critique with care. As previously mentioned, we offer spaces for writers to showcase their work. Please make sure that you follow our guidelines about critiquing #my-corner posts.
  3. Respect the clean spaces. Make sure to avoid posting irrelevant content in our specialized channels! We are all adults in this space. As much as the server facilitators want to keep the spaces clean at all times, due to limited time, they can’t always be around to moderate the community.
  4. No younglings allowed! We ask that you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. It’s a shame that we cannot help foster a space for young writers, but the peace of fellow adults comes first.
