I am hoping that my raw and unfiltered emotions—and a lack of proper drafting—will not muddy the emotion I want to get across. I will confess, I was not in the best shape in these past few days. It would be an understatement to say that I have not been in a good shape for a decade and a half. However, I digress. This ‘monologue’ has not been written to cry out for help (as I have grown tired of writing such cumbersome journals) but instead to reflect on a film that I have recently witnessed.

My Co-worker

Today, I saw my co-worker sitting in front of Lawson’s. She slowly and silently unwrapped her food from the paper it was covered in, paying no attention to anyone around her. I made sure not to be a distraction, so I walked past her without saying anything.

This is not the first time I’ve caught her in a moment like this, but I always make sure not to say a word—well, aside from that one time I didn’t notice she was eating beside me while I was enjoying my chilled can of black coffee. It was the first time I had encountered her like that, so I thought it was rude not to say hi, at the very least. In retrospect, I don’t think it would have mattered much.

To My New Home

I am writing this on my phone. Despite my lack of certainty, it is time for me to go. I have decided (not without a pinch of doubt) to live somewhere closer to my work. I have grown to like my job a bit more than I did since my last entry about it, but the fatigue that it brings every day has not diminished. I am hoping that dramatically reducing my travel time to and from work will allow me to chip away at least some of the fatigue; I must play the long game, after all.

Hi there! My name is Yumemi.

I wish I had a lot to say about me, but I only made this website to compile my written work. I am by no means a professional writer. If I’m being honest, I don’t really feel like my literature deserves to be published. However, I am hoping that someday I can look back and cherish my work.

I am writing this short biography while listening to NUUAMM. They are my biggest inspiration and if I can radiate the same kind of warmth that their songs provide; I will be the happiest person in the world.

Our Discord Server: Amaneki Library
